Your Questions About Girlfriend Wears Diapers To Bed

Daniel asks…

im scared to stay at my brothers house?

Ok so I’ve got the most amazing brother ever Jayme (28)
Im staying at his house next week because my parents are going away he lives in PEI i live in Ontario!
Anyways my problem is im 13 and i still wet the bed sometimes! I’ve gone to the doctor about it and she said i would grow out of it.
But im staying at my brothers house and i don’t want to wet the while im there!! I would tell his girlfriend but she’s in Japan teaching till October so she can’t really help me!
What am i supposed to do???
I definetly don’t want my mom or dad telling him!
and i definetly don’t want to wear diapers!
What can i do????
What happens if i do i wet the bed and it gets on the sheets?? What do i tell him? How do i tell him??
Thanks

Firstly make sure you go pee right before you go to bed.
Next, ask him for some spare sheets because you are worried you might get your period (or get your mum to ask him).
Get your mum to give you a plastic uindersheet you can put on the bed.
Wear your ordinary knickers with an incontinence pad inside – one brand is called Tena. They are like giant sanitary towels.

Find out where the cloths and cleaning stuff are.

Then if you wet the bed you can change it all yourself and not have to tell anyone.

Incontinence pads, also known as Chux pads are commonly used to prevent accidents from getting on the mattress. They are a thin sheet of poly plastic with a cotton liner and are disposable. The color of the poly is different depending on the size of the pad. They can be purchased at medical supply stores, but the same basic smaller sized pad can even be purchased in pet stores (puppy pads) much cheaper. This is a good option if just wearing a regular sanitary pad might not provide enough protection for your peace of mind. They won’t interfere with your sleep, and they will certainly help keep the sheets clean. Bring an extra plastic bag with you to place them in when used. Tell your parents about your concern, and that you would much rather prepare to deal with this issue yourself by getting the pads, than to unnecessarily bringing your brother into it. It is entirely appropriate for you to want privacy about this.

Avoid caffeine, and try to get most of your hydration early in the day so you can have a relatively empty bladder at bedtime.

Could fit a mattress protector on the bed – it has a waterproof layer and a soft top layer. Anxiety is the key too. The more you worry the more likely to slip up. Don’t even think about it and it won’t happen :)

Don’t drink more than half a glass of water before bed. Don’t go to bed overtired. Just relax and let the mattress cover cover for you! :) you’ll most likely wake up dry.

If none of the above, set an alarm for the middle of the night to wake you up and go to the bathroom whether you need to or not aswell.

You don’t need diapers, you can rely on you.

I understand how embarrassing this can be. My younger brother wet the bed until he was almost 13, the doctor said that his bladder was not growing as fast as his body. It is very common. If you don’t think that you can talk to your brother about, talk to your mom before you go. I know that Good nights seem like diapers, but they really help. Only you and your mom will have to know and it will keep your trip from being marked with an embarrassing situation.

My 12 year old son wets his bed all the time. We’ve tried everything. Doctors, pills, chiropracters, and nothing works. We make him wear diapers but he often takes them off because he says they’re "uncomfortable and hot". Then he gets the sheets wet and then hides the sheet in his closet. By the time I find them, the stink is everywhere. I’m at my wits’ end with him. Do I need to get locking pants over his diapers? Is there some way to straighten him out?

          Potty training a toddler?

I’m going to start potty training my little one she’s almost three. I tried in the past but she’s old enough now. I wanted to ask is it better using training diapers or just buying plastic or regular underwear? I heard its a waste to buy training diapers since they soak all the urine and they don’t do much help. Regular underwear is risky because of the mess, but I’m a stay at home mom we’re always home. Any parents out there that mastered in training their kids your advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

My girlfriend wets the bed and wears diapers for this problem. She was very uncomfortable about this and wouldn’t snuggle with me in bed while she was wearing the diaper. So I found a solution. I started wearing one also. I think it makes her feel better. But is it right for me to do this since I don’t wet the bed? In truth, it kind of makes me feel like a baby. Also it’s getting warmer out and it makes me sweaty in the area it covers.

              toddler tantrums and new baby!!!!?

I have a 20 month old son and a 1 week old baby. When I got pregnant, he was the best baby ever, slept good, ate good, always happy… in the recent months, he throws tantrums ALL DAY. I have tried so hard to make him happy and avoid tantrums, but it is only getting worse. Also, he used to eat whateer we gave him well, now he will not eat anything. We do everything the same, put him in his highchair, eat together, but for the past few months, he either doesn’t touch the food, throws it on the floor, or dumps his plate on the tray and play with it. He loves his new sister, but he is rough with her. so i calmly explain "be nice to sissy, she is just a little baby" which triggers a tantrum. When she is sleeping, he tries to shake the bassinet, and throws stuff into the bassinet (toys, food, diapers…) My husband took some time off work to stay home and help me, but he goes back Monday and I am terrified. Any advice from other mamas or dadas???
Also, I still have to worry about being a wife. I still have household chores, cooking, laundry… Everything was so easy with little bobby before, so we decided to give him a little playmate. But then he started with the tantrums, I kept up with things as best I could. Now I am worried about how to keep up with chores, make sure my husband has a hot meal wating when he gets home, contend with tantrums and a baby. Also, I am losing a significant amount of sleep with all the nighttime feedings, which is completely expected and there is nothing wrong with. But how do i do these things when all I want to do is take a nap?!?!
Another thing, me and little bobby used to go all kinds of places, visit friends and family, shopping, the park…and now with the new baby, we haven’t left the house since bringing her home. We used to go somewhere/do something every day, now he is just stuck in the house. But it is so hard to not only get little bobby ready to go, but baby too. I just want him to be happy!! I feel like a horrible mother because little bobby is so mad all the time. Since he was born, all I ever wanted was for him to be happy and to give him everything. I have always babied him. Like with the feeding problems, I would just make him something else until I felt he actually ate enough. But now I don’t have the time to baby him, I feel like I have never stressed his independence, so now he is super dependent on me and I can’t baby him through everything anymore. All of the hard days I remember with him (teething, not feeling well) I will have to go through with her, but still be the mommy he needs me to be
and if you haven’t noticed, I’m a bit post-partum-y…I just want my son and my daughter to be happy and live happily together

                Ruth asks…

how to potty train a toddler at night?

My daughter is 2 yrs 8 months and i just toilet trained her a few weeks ago, she is dry during the day and wears normal underwear. Has only had maybe 4 accidents the whole time.

Night time is touch and go, she is dry about 2 out of 3 nights, i put her in a pull up at night so that she can still go if she needs to and i wonder whether i am doing the right thing?

I dont know whether i should just wait until she is totally dry for a few weeks or if i should just put her in underwear at night as well and hope for the best…

what is the best thing to do to toilet train for night time?

                admin answers:

My 3yo stepdaughter has been dry during the day for 9 months now and rarely has an accident and has become dry herself at night the last 3months because she refuses to wear pull ups at night time anymore and will get up when she feels she needs to go
daytime dryness is more important then night-time don’t worry too much just relax and it will happen when ur daughter is ready she has done amazing so far
ps my sister who is now 25 was dry during the day from 3yrs but wasn’t dry at night until she was 5 and is a completely normal now just a very deep sleeper!
                Hope this helps

                Thomas asks…

Is it okay to let my toddler wear diapers at night even though she’s potty trained?

My two-year-old is potty training. She’s been doing well about asking to use the potty when she knows she has to go, even at night. She hasn’t ever wet the bed until now. She has wet the bed every night for the past three days. Should I put her back in diapers when she sleeps at night? Or would that be counterproductive?

                admin answers:

That is all the more reason to put her back in diapers at night. My son wets the bed and I put diapers on him every night. Its a misconception that just because a child is day trained, they should be night trained. That is not the case. A child has to have the trigger from their bladder to their brain to tell them, hey wake up, I gotta use the potty. Most kids sleep so soundly their bodies are not mature enough to get that signal. It would not be counterproductive to diaper at night. Since she is only two, I would still go back with a regular tape on diaper for the fit and absorption rather than using the pull-up diapers. Plus the tape diapers are cheaper and perform better.

                potty training???

Whats the best way to potty train a toddler who is DAY potty trained.. to not pee at night?.. any suggestions?

                admin answers:

Ever heard the expression rome wasn’t built in a day. Sure you have. Potty training wasn’t taught in a day, let your child wear a diaper at night and potty train during the day it’s the only way it worked for me and my daughter. During the day she wears underwear and uses the potty. She’s only 2 so she still has time to learn
